KOO project on 2014 and 2015 (two years project) funded by the European Union (EU) .
Strengthening Disability and Rehabilitation Health Services through Increased numbers of Professionally Trained Rehabilitation Practitioners.
The goad of project was, Quality physical rehabilitation services are required for person with physical disability for the purpose to enhance their quality of life and improve their functional capacities to take part in every routine activity like other individuals. In this program 20(5 grill /women and 15 men) people received two years training on orthopedic technology. On 2016 as the disability and rehabilitation services are integrated into the national health policies. Skilled and qualified professionals are required to provide quality rehabilitation services. so this program extend for one year more, the Title of project change to Upgrade and standardization of the 'Orthopedics Technician Training of the previous project.
On end of 2016 these student graduated from KOO and they officially the government their exam on Ghazan institute of health science (GIHS) and received diploma from GIHS and now they working on different provinces on noon-government and government physical rehabilitation sectors.

Title of project: Vocational training and empowerment for Afghan women
• Project purposes: The project aims to contribute to the economic independence and strengthening of the social position of women in Afghanistan, as well as to providing orthopedic treatment for people with disabilities.
• Target groups: The direct target group is 30 young women (max. 30 years of age): 5 women with disabilities, 15 widows and 10 very poor women.
• These 30 women have been trained in production of various orthopedic devices and walking aids, this was the first group of women which received the training to make the walking aids for person with disability, because it is a technical field. Besides the technical training, they studded literacy, sociality issues training and family law and about right of women as well.

The contract period: from 15 May 2014 to 31 March 2015.
The physical rehabilitation project is an important project being funded by Australia/UNMAS ,the scope of the project is provide physical rehabilitation services for 2500 patients and disability/advocacy awareness training for 5000 people located in 03 locations of Kabul (Kotale-Khair Khana, Qala-e-Wakil and Karta-e-Now).
